Rio, June 5, 2003 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - The Syndicate of Shipyards in Rio signed an agreement yesterday (4) with the state government and the Federation of Industries to implant the First Job Program in the shipbuilding sector.
The program reserves 20% of the job openings created in the sector for young people from needy communities who seek to enter the job market.
According to the state government, five thousand positions should be created over the next 12 months, which means one thousand jobs for young people between 17 and 22 years of age. The average salary is expected to be R$ 800.00. (DAS)
