Brasília, 1/2/2003 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - Ex-president Fernando Henrique Cardoso and his wife Ruth Cardoso left for France last night. Before embarking, Cardoso said he intends to spend most of his time at the Fernando Henrique Cardoso Institute, an NGO that will focus on Brazilian problems.

Cardoso revealed that he does not intend to run for public office in the future. (AB)
