Brasília – The final document of the Summit of South American-Arab Countries to be signed by Heads of State or Government participating on the event, will "clearly condemn terrorism," announced the Minister of Foreign Relations, Celso Amorim, Monday (9).
The Brazilian Chancellor coordinated a meeting with more than 30 Arab and South American ministers to consolidate the document text, which will be discussed today (10) by Heads of State or Government, at the Blue Tree Park Hotel.
Amorim affirmed that in addition to condemning terrorism, the document will include a paragraph about the "right of resistance to foreign occupation, according to international humanitarian law." The minister said that the document prepared by the chancellors will also mention the sovereignty of the Malvinas Islands, under dispute by Argentina and England.
