Brasília - At 12:30 pm today, president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva will travel to Belém, Pará, where he will inaugurate an urbanization project in the Tucunduba basin region. This is an area where people lived in homes on stilts over water. The area now has paved streets, sewage and rain drainage. There are also social services, such as health centers and literacy courses.
The project that Lula will inaugurate benefits 75,000 people and also makes the Tucunduba River navigable.
