Recife, June 13, 2003 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - The Pharmaceutical Laboratory of Pernambuco (Lafepe) signed a scientific, technological, and commercial exchange partnership with a mission composed of representatives of eight African countries.

According to State Secretary of Health, Guilherme Robalinho, who received the group, the Africans manifested interest in purchasing medicines from Lafepe, especially those used in the treatment of Aids.

He said that the partnership also encompasses support for the construction of government pharmaceutical laboratories in African countries and the transfer of technology. (DAS)
