Rio de Janeiro, 24 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - The week began with a great mobilization to combat the dengue disease in the state of Rio de Janeiro. On Monday, Minister of Health Barjas Negri is meeting with the Health secretaries of all municipalities of Rio to establish tasks and to discuss the realization of a public service campaign with suggestions from the municipal representatives themselves. The purpose, according to Minister Negri, is to promote the end of the epidemic that has already killed 17 people and infected another 40,000 in the state. For this purpose, March 9 will be declared the National Day of Combat of Dengue, aimed at combating and controlling the disease, which is spread by mosquitoes.
