GDP growth is biggest in a decade

Rio de Janeiro - With cumulative GDP growth of 5.3% for the year, up to September, this year's GDP growth is the biggest for the period in a decade. It is just lower than GDP growth for the first three quarters of 1995.

Compared to the first nine months of 2003, the manufacturing sector had growth of 6.3%, agriculture was up 5.6% and services up 3.8%.
