Brasília, March 14, 2003 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - The proposals adopted by the Declaration of Brasília, prepared at the meeting between President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and 27 governors, were unanimously approved by the Economic and Social Development Council. Council President, Minister Tarso Genro, said that there was also consensus over the proposal to unify the legislation on the Tax on the Circulation of Goods and Services (ICMS), as a way to simplify the system of state revenues and reduce tax fraud.
