Brasília, January 31, 2003 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - The Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, and Supply, Roberto Rodrigues, announced yesterday (30) the creation of the National Agro-business Council (Consagro), made up of thirteen government organizations and thirteen civil society entities. The purpose of the new body is to formulate a specific agricultural policy for the Zero Hunger program. The guidelines and rules determined by the Consagro will be submitted to the Council of Food Security (Consea), which is linked to the Zero Hunger program. (DAS)
