Brasilia, November 21, 2002 (Agencia Brasil ABr) - President-elect Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva's spokesman, Andre Singer, has reaffirmed that the Lula administration will be austere and maintain inflation under control, in accordance with promises made during the campaign.
Singer also announced that the meeting with the managing director of the International Monetary Fund, Horst Koehler, has not been confirmed yet.
Meetings that have been confirmed will occur on December 2, when the president-elect goes to Argentina and on December 3, he will be in Chile. And on December 10, in Washington to meet with George W. Bush. (AB)
