Brasília, 18 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - Former Paraguayan general Lino Oviedo said yesterday (17) he is not responsible for the recent problems in Paraguay. Claiming that everything he does in Brazil is known by the Brazilian government, Oviedo said, "Everything I do is transparent. The [Brazilian] Federal Police know what I am up to."

Yesterday Oviedo was interrogated at the Ministry of Justice's Department for Foreigners on accusations that he was involved in this week's demonstrations in Paraguay.

With regard to a tape recording where he calls for a "revolution," Oviedo said the revolution was to be a "peaceful and constitutional revolution." (AB)
