Brasília, 16 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - The president of the Central Bank, Armínio Fraga, has scheduled meetings this week with federal deputies Aloizio Mercadante, PT, and José Aníbal, PSDB, for talks on the economy and this year's elections. Fraga will also report to the political leaders on recent meetings he had with American investors and authorities at the International Monetary Fund, the American Federal Reserve and Treasury.

Fraga declared that he wants to make it clear to investors that no matter who the next president is, there will be transparency, fiscal responsibility and low inflation in Brazil. (AB)
