Brasília, 16 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - There was a foreign trade surplus of US$712 million in the second week of July, with exports of US$1.884 billion, and imports of US$1.172 billion.
This brings the cumulative trade surplus for the year to US$3.370 billion.
"Month by month the surplus rises. That is why the Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade estimates that the final surplus for the year will be US$5 billion," said Lytha Spindola, the secretary of Foreign Trade, adding that the rise in exports was due to a more stable exchange rate and the end of a strike by Federal Revenue agents.
