Brasília, 11 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - A new bipartisan association, Movement to Combat Election Corruption, has launched a campaign with the slogan, "Your vote does not have a price, but it does have consequences." The objective is to make this year's elections clean. A declaration by the organization says: "The right to vote is not enough. We must guarantee clean elections, free of fraud and pressure on the voters. All candidates should have equal opportunity to present their programs."
The presidents of the Superior Electoral Court, minister Nelson Jobim; the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB), Rubens Approbato, and the Brazilian Bishop Conference, Raymundo Damasceno, participated in the launching of the campaign. (AB)
