Rio de Janeiro, 11 (Agência Brasil – ABr) - The Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statístics (IBGE ) reports that its Consumer Price Index (INPC) rose 0.61% in June, an increase of 0.52 percentage points over May (0.09%). The cumulative INPC for the first half is now 3.42%, compared to 3.81% for the same period last year. The biggest rise in the INPC was in Rio de Janeiro (1.14%), and the smallest increase was in Belém (0.24%). (AB)
