Government releases US$96,000 to combat human traffic

Brasília, 4 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - The government will release US$96,000 to combat human traffic in a joint project between the Ministry of Justice and the United Nations. The total budget for the project is US$400,000.

The central objective is to perfect mechanisms to combat human traffic. The first phase will map traffic routes so as to obtain a general picture of the situation in Brazil and expand investigative capacities of the police. The project will also include advertising campaigns to make the public aware of the problem and its three aspects: sexual exploitation, force labor and the commerce of organs. (AB)
