Brasília, 4 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - Yesterday the presidents of Brazil and Mexico, Fernando Henrique Cardoso and Vicente Fox, released a joint declaration expressing satisfaction with the advance in bilateral relations. "Brazil and Mexico are responsible and influential players in the construction of a more united and integrated Lating America; a Latin America with greater participation in international affairs," said the presidents.
Cardoso and Fox also said that the fight against discrimination should be an international priority, calling for approval of the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples and the Permanent Forum on Indigenous Affairs. (AB)
