Scientific expedition will study Amazon fish ecology

Brasília, 26 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - For the first time, scientists from Brazil's most important research institutions will survey Amazon River fish ecology. The expedition will be coordinated by the North Region Fishing Resources Management and Research Center (Cepnor/Ibama) and take place between February 28 and March 19. It will go from Belem to Manaus and back again to Belem, collecting fish, water, sediment, vegetation and zooplankton samples. (AB)
