Warsaw, 26 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - President Fernando Henrique Cardoso spoke to Polish Business leaders yesterday at a Brazil-Poland Economic Forum: "Opportunities for New Partnerships." Cardoso said that Brazil today is one of the world's biggest economies, a leader in exports of mid-sized aircraft. "We are a frontrunner in genome research and deep-sea petroleum drilling. A modern, vibrant economy, destined to achieve high levels of development and prospert," said the president.

Cardoso also explained that Brazilian democracy is renewed constantly through periodic elections which are free and transparent. "This October, almost 100 million Brazilians will vote for a new president, a new congress and new governors in complete liberty." (AB)
