Brasilia, 27 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - Minister of Agriculture Pratini de Moraes revealed Tuesday that the Brazilian government will file a suit at the World Trade Organization (WTO) to contest the subsidies granted by the American government to soybean and cotton growers and by the European Union to sugar farmers. "The United States today subsidizes the price of soybean in 20 to 25 percent of its value, which hampers the possibilities of Brazilian exports," he said. (MW)
