Brasília, 26 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - In 2001, Banco do Brasil contracted US$11.8 billion in export operations, an increase of 9.4% over 2000. Out of that total, US$5.7 billion was for small business operations.
Also in 2001, the bank made loans totalling R$9.8 billion (US$4.1 billion) to farmers, compared to R$7.7 billion (US$3.2 billion) in 2000.
Finally, credit operations rose 12% in 2001. (AB)
