Market projecting slightly higher inflation in February

Brasilia, 26 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - The market projection for inflation measured by the IPCA index for February rose from 0.28% to 0.30%, according to a Central Bank survey. For March, the market expectation remains unchanged at 0.30%. For 2002, the market projection for the IPCA, used to measure inflation targets, has risen from 4.80 to 4.85 percent.
Still according to the survey, the market expectation for the net inflow of direct foreign investments has risen from US$ 16.80 billion to US$ 17 billion in 2002 and from US$ 17 billion to US$ 17.5 billion in 2003. (MW)
