Brazil and Poland stress need to combat international terrorism

Warsaw (Poland), 26 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - The presidents of Brazil, Fernando Henrique Cardoso, and of Poland, Aleksander Kwasniewski, reasserted yesterday their determination to actively participate of the war against international terrorism. They acknowledged the need to punish those responsible for these acts and stressed the importance of blocking the sources of financing of terrorism, as well as to combat phenomenon's related to organized crime, such as drug trafficking and money laundering.
The two presidents also reaffirmed the need for the globalization process to promote the development of all nations and regions of the world, minimizing the asymmetries that still characterize the international scenario. (MW)
