Rio, 27 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - The Secretariat of Public Security of Rio de Janeiro has confirmed that operation "Eye in the Sky," will begin on September 5. Dirigibles will patrol the skies the way they do in other urban centers, such as New York, Atlanta, Paris and Hong Kong.

The airships will contain noninflammable helium gas and will be piloted by personnel trained by the Brazilian Air Force. They will carry high resolution cameras and infrared binoculars capable of seeing things at a distance of 5 kilometers. (AB)
