Petrobras: production has risen 14%

Rio, November 14, 2002 (Agência Brasil – ABr) - Petrobras production in October was a daily average of 1,551,200 barrels, of which 35,000 came from abroad. That is an increase of 14% over October 2001, and is above the world average for the sector. If natural gas production is added, Petrobras average daily production rises to 1,830,100 barrels.

The Campos Basin oil field continues to produce most of Brazil's domestic oil: over 80%, an average daily production of 1,241,294.

Brazil also produces over 38 million cubic meters of natural gas per day, 17.6 million cubic meters comes from the Campos Basin. (AB)
