Brazil participates in G-20 meeting in Geneva

Brasília - The minister of Foreign Relations, Celso Amorim, participates today (29) in the ministerial meeting of the G-20 (the group of 20 developing countries), at the World Trade Organization (WTO), in Geneva, Switzerland. Afterwards he is scheduled to attend the ministerial meeting of the NAMA-11 (the group of countries coordinated by South Africa in the context of access to markets for non-agricultural goods).

Amorim will also meet today with the Foreign Trade Commissioner of the European Union, Peter Mandelson, and participate in the meeting of the G-6 (an informal group that includes Brazil, Australia, the European Community, the United States, India, and Japan).

Tonight he will attend a dinner offered by the Indian minister of Trade, Kamal Nath, to representatives of developing countries.

Tomorrow (30), he will take part in the ministerial meeting called by the director-general of the WTO, Pascal Lamy, and, on Saturday (1), he will attend a meeting of the WTO's Trade Negotiations Committee.
