Brazil inaugurates product distribution center in Portugal

Brasília - Today minister of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade, Luiz Fernando Furlan, is in Lisbon to inaugurate a Brazilian Product Distribution Center (Centro de Distribuição de Produtos Brasileiros). Initially, 80 out of the 165 businesses from 20 economic sectors that registered to participate will be exhibiting their goods. Also participating in the inauguration will be the Portuguese minister of Economy and Innovation, Manuel Antonio Gomes de Almeida de Pinho, and the presidents of Apex-Brasil (Export Promotion Agency), Juan Quirós, and the Foreign Trade Institute of Portugal (Instituto de Comércio Externo de Portugal) (Icep), João Marques da Cruz.

Apex-Brasil invested 280,000 euros in the center which covers 2,000 square meters. The immediate objective is provide Brazilian companies with an opportunity to present their products to the Portuguese market, the Iberian Peninsula and countries in North Africa.
