Brasília - Yesterday president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva sent a congratulatory message to the president elect of Portugal, Aníbal António Cavaco Silva, who was elected over the weekend.

In his message, Lula said he was certain Portugal and Brazil would continue deepening their longstanding relation based on friendship, dialogue and cooperation.
