Brasília - After three weeks of negotiations the bills establishing a new electricity sector model will go to a vote on Thursday in the Senate.

One of the changes is to substitute the spot market operator (Mercado Atacadista de Energia Elétrica) (MAE) for a trade chamber (Câmara de Comercialização de Energia Elétrica) (CCEE), to be controlled by the sector regulatory agency (Agência Nacional de Energia Elétrica) (Aneel). (AB)
