Recife - Two tourists from Israel, Noran Beseld, 21, and Noga Eshed, 22, were both hit by a single stray bullet while they danced in the streets of Olinda during Carnival celebrations in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
The bullet went through Noga's thorax. Her friend, Noran, was not so lucky. The bullet lodged in her chest near her heart. Her condition is considered critical. Both the girls remain under medical observation.
Some kind of a shootout occurred between rival gangs near where Noran and Noga were dancing. Another bullet killed Romero Tenório, 21, who had a police record. So far, police have arrested a minor who is accused of being involved in the shooting. (AB)
