Dirceu announces that government will resume construction at 17 hydroelectric plants

Brasília, January 9, 2004 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - The chief of the Presidential Civil Advisory Staff, José Dirceu, summing up the meeting of the Infrastructure Chamber, attended by President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and 11 Ministers, said that in 2004 the government's actions will place priority on the creation of jobs in the country. Dirceu announced that one of the goals for infrastructure activities in the next few months will be to resume the construction of 17 hydroelectric plants. (DAS)
