Brasilia – The National Industrial Confederation (CNI) lamented this Monday (27) the resignation of Antonio Palocci from the Ministry of Finance. According to the note, the ex minister conferred a serene and balanced attitude to the conduction of the economic policy.

The note emphasizes the positive aspects of Palocci’s administration and its international recognition. And it classifies as undesirable the "environment of instability and uncertainty" generated by facts that occurred prior to his heading the Ministry.

CNI believes it is important that President Lula reaffirms his commitment to preserving certain guidelines of the economic policy, and that both the country and the market receive the Minister’s replacement with serenity.
