Brasília - The presidents of the Senate, Renan Calheiros, and the Superior Appeals Court (Superior Tribunal de Justiça) (STJ), Edson Vidigal, will open a seminar today entitled "Proposals for a New Criminal Prosecution Model - Combating Impunity."

For two days, judges, prosecutors, professores and lawyers will discuss stronger legal mechanisms for combating crimes that are particularly pernicious to society.
