Fortaleza, 4/22/2003 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - Today the president of the Banco do Nordeste, Roberto Smith, the governor of Piauí, Wellington Dias, and World Bank senior economist, Dorte Verner, will open a Seminar on Social Inclusion and Poverty Reduction in Teresina, Piaui, which will be transmitted via videoconference to other cities.

The objective of the seminar is to discuss governmental and non-governmental programs, implantation and oversight of activities in social inclusion and poverty reduction. (AB)
