Porto Alegre, 2/7/2003 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - A Brazilian federal judge, Vladimir Passos de Freitas, has been elected at the UN Environmental Program (Pnuma) meeting in Kenya to represent Pnuma in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Freitas will run courses for judges, prosecutors and other judicial officials, and chair meetings with them in order to implement environment protection policies in the region. (AB)
