Brasília, 1/30/2003 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - The Dispute Settlement Panel at the World Trade Organization has now formally ruled that the so-called Byrd amendment of the United States is not compatible with WTO trade norms.
Brazil, Austrália, Canada, Chile, the European Community, Korea, Índia, Indonesia, Japan, Mexico and Thailand all joined together to complain about the law. (AB)
