Rio, 22 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - The Superior Electoral Court (TSE) is studying the possibility of making changes in legislation on election polls. A new rule would go into effect next year requiring polls to be registered five days before they are made public so that no one can benefit from privileged information and speculate on financial markets.
According the chief justice of the TSE, Nelson Jobim, the court is also looking into the problem of polls used as part of free election advertising which are not complete, that is, that do not survey all the candidates. (AB)
