Porto Alegre, 22 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - The National Institute for Colonization and Agrarian Reform (Incra) will begin a land reform settlement improvement program (PAC) in Rio Grande do Sul this month. The program is a pilot project with the Interamerican Development Bank with a total budget of US$85 million to be used for infrastructure, technical assistance and training. The program will operate in 107 land reform settlement areas, providing some 18,000 families with assistance. (AB)
