Brasília, 19 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - The Brazilian Environmental Protection Agency (Ibama) says it has plans to place into operation another 40 management plans for conservation areas by the end of the year. Ibama "management plans" are documents setting out guidelines for the ecologically correct use of areas and natural resources. The plans are drawn up through a participatory process which involves the local community and authorities and ONGs. Priority areas for their implantaton are in national parks, environmental protection areas, biological reserves and ecological stations. (AB)
