Brasília, 15 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - It is now possible to obtain information on, and even see photos of, public works in urban areas financed by the Caixa Econômica Federal (CEF). Since the beginning of the year the data has been available to authorities at the local, state and federal levels. Now the on-line Oversight System (Siurb) (http://webp.caixa.gov.br/urbanizacao/index.asp) is public. According to Valdery Albuquerque, president of the CEF, it is another example of transparency in the use of public funding for public works. (AB)
