Brasília, 3 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - Yesterday Congress approved the LDO, law that establishes targets and guidelines that must be followed in the 2003 budget. One of the targets in the 2003 budget is for a primary surplus of 3.75% of GDP, which it is believed will make it possible to face possible instability while keeping on track with inflation and growth targets.
The 2003 LDO also calls for an adjustment of the minimum wage in 2003 and more transparency in the allocation of funding.
After approving the 2003 LDO, Congress closed down for a recess which will extend until the end of this month. (AB)
