Brasília, 1 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - The Libyan minister of Economy, Shukri Ghanim, is in Brazil from today to Friday on an official visit at the head of an economic and trade mission. According to the Ministry of Foreign Relations, the objective of the Libyan mission is to boost bilateral relations, especially in economic cooperation and trade promotion, and get to know the Brazilian market better.
The Ministry reports that the Libyans are interested in having Brazilian firms set up business in their country, especially petroleum companies. They also want to increase imports of Brazilian goods, study further types of cooperation at both bilateral and regional levels, and, finally, establish contacts which will eventually facilitate long-term investments.
