Brasilia, 28 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - Minister of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade, Sergio Amaral, said Wednesday that export, "besides being the path to survival, is a way to obtain more profits and to pay better salaries." He made this statement during a lecture at the 12th Brazilian Congress of the Confederation of Commercial Associations of Brazil, held in Brasilia.

The minister added that he sees "with great satisfaction that the effort being made by the federal government to boost exports has been met by an active and decisive response on the part of the Brazilian business community." In his opinion, Brazil is witnessing the emergence of a new national consensus, which is the consensus for exports. (MW)
