Brasília, 27 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - Brazil has just set up a tracking system for cattle, known as Sisbov, which will permit records to be kept of all cattle born in or imported into Brazil , from the time of their arrival until they reach the dinner table. The minister of Agriculture, Pratini de Morais, launched the system in January. Cattle used for exports to the European Union will enter the Sisbov by June of this year. Other export cattle will have to enter the Sisbov by December 2003. By the end of 2007, every cow in Brazil will be entered in the Sisbov. (AB)
