Brasília, 3 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - The Brazilian government and exporters from the food, jewelry, textile, tourism and cosmetic sectors will take advantage of the World Soccer Cup to promote Brazilian products in Japan. During three weeks, Brazilian businessmen will display, in 25 supermarkets of an important Japanese chain, a series of national products with the brand "Brazil". The strategy includes advertisement in five Japanese metropolis - Tokyo, Nagoya, Sizuoka, Ozaka and Nagano - during the second phaes of the World Cup.
According to the Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade, around US$ 400 thousand will be invested in order to promote Brazilian trade. According to the Export Promotion Agency (Apex), the project aims to expand the participation of Brazilian products in the Asian market. (WPS)
