Brasilia, November 15, 2002 (Agencia Brasil ABr) - The coordinator of the goverment-elect's transition team, Antonio Palocci, met with the minister of Health, Barjas Negri, yesterday to discuss a possible dengue epidemic next summer and measures to deal with that possibility."We are concerned about this situation," said Palocci, adding, "Negri promised to make all the information on the problem and what is being done available to us. Action must be taken now to head off the problem. This is not something that Brasilia is going to do alone. It will require a nationwide effort." (AB)
