Brasília, November 18, 2002 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - The National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel) and the National Communications Institute of Mozambique (INCM, that country's regulatory agency) signed a memorandum of understanding on Friday (15), in Maputo (capital of Mozambique), to intensify relations between Brazil and Mozambique and establish a mechanism of technical and institutional cooperation that will contribute to the development of the telecommunications sector in the two countries.
Mutual cooperation will cover various areas, among them supervision of the use of the radioelectric spectrum, execution and provision of services, defense and protection of users' rights, and formulation of proposals of targets for universalization and service quality. (DAS)
