Brasília, November 19, 2002 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - Indians from Brazil, Colombia, Bolivia and Guatemala are meeting today at the Brazilian Senate to discuss their participation in legislative processes in the Americas.
The coordinator of Indian Organizations in the Amazon Basin (Coica), Sebastião Haki Manchineri, says that Indian participation in parliamentary activities is still very small but that the meeting will set guidelines for a more active presence. (AB)
