Brasilia – The P-SOL (Socialism and Liberty Party) launches this Tuesday (28), at the National Congress, the campaign "I want to know how my representative votes." Since Friday (24), the Party’s deputies have been gathering signatures in long fabric sheets, from voters of several states, who demand the end to secret vote during National Congress sessions. In the Federal District alone, around six thousand people have signed the petition.

The sheets will be handed to the President of the Chamber of Deputies, Aldo Rebelo. At the same time, a "Parliamentary Front for the End to the Secret Vote" will be launched.

This movement began when the House started voting processes against congress members accused of involvement in the scandal known as "Mensalão" (they allegedly received this "Big Monthly Allowance" in exchange for voting with the government).

P-Sol has complained that the secret vote permits agreements among congress people that culminate in many of those accused being absolved.
