Nova York – "UN reform is not just making changes in the Security Council," declared Foreign Minister Celso Amorim on the eve of the opening of the 60th UN General Assembly.

According to Amorim, "Discussions on UN reform will include agencies dealing with the construction of peace and human rights, as well as hunger and poverty. We will also be working to keep the Millennium Goals program alive."

Amorim said that when he addresses the General Assembly, he will discuss the UN Stabilization Mission in Haiti, which is led by Brazil.
